Dorian Mode is a multi-award-winning jazz musician who is also known for his funny books, published by Penguin & Random House in Europe. He’s been awarded three ABC Music Awards & presents his cheesy original songs with one foot in the fondue pot & one foot deep in cultural satire. Wielding his trademark laconic wit, he is a sought-after entertainer, performing in the Spiegel Tent at Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Fringe and 2023 headlined a cabaret show at The Naughty Noodle Fun Haus.
He is a regular on ABC 702 Weekend Program riffing on random topics. Here’s what the press have said about him:
Made me laugh out loud!
SYDNEY MORNING HERALD
Moments of delicious irony and recognition.
COURIER MAIL
His perky humour has a way of wrong footing you.
MELBOURNE AGE
Highly commendable; clever, brisk and refreshing, with plenty of genuine Australian humour. You’ll laugh out loud!
THE AUSTRALIAN
He’s a wry humourist who takes the Mickey out of himself first before turning his wit on others.
QUEENSLAND TIMES
His humour is necessarily a very dark shade of grey, and I confess to laughing out loud.
CANBERRA TIMES
I laughed my GUTS out!
