Karen Shearan has been a sought-after lead vocalist for many bands, trios, and duos since the 80s with her ability to sing like Chrissy from the Divinyls, Amy Winehouse (with her raspy blues sound) to the sweet voice of an angel before belting into soaring rock vocals like those of the Baby Animal’s Suzie De-Marchi.

Karen has sung on multiple radio jingles and TV commercials, of which she appeared on a few, plus had the endorsement of Molly Meldrum himself, saying Karen has, “The look, the voice, the talent to go a long way.”

Shane has been playing music instruments from an early age, starting on keyboards before finding a passion for the guitar. He studied teaching at university and majored in music instruction, earning a High Distinction accolade in the Performing Arts course.

Shane lists a wide array of influences including Angus Young, Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. He thrives on bringing aspects of all their techniques to his explosive, improvised solos. He is an accomplished vocalist as well and his abilities to sing lead and harmonies often impress.

Shane has been working solo, in duos and in bands on the Central Coast, Sydney and Newcastle since moving from the Central West in 2004. He began working with Karen when both joined the highly regarded Hangovers band in the early 2010s.  His favourite accomplishments include supporting acts such as Gangajang, Dragon and The Choirboys and sharing the stage with Beccy Cole and Tim Camble at the Mingara Christmas Carols.
