Sam constantly reminds John and keeps him up to date with the latest popular music for young folk and John constantly reminds Sam of the importance of those good old school and (not so old tunes) that are timeless and endless.

A professional bassist of 10 plus years, Samuel Madden is known across Newcastle and the Hunter region as one of the most forward thinking and innovative bass player of the area. He releases music under the synonym Veldar, obtaining creative grants for his compositions and was a main songwriter in Newcastle’s indie act Diplazar. He has played with Tim Harding, the Ultimate Pink Tribute Show and Tre Soul as a side man.

John O’Reilly is a strong lead vocalist and guitarist who prefers to present a live show, with a large repertoire of music from the 60’s to the modern time. With his duo and solo show, John can fill a dance floor or soothe the soul with beautiful nylon ballads. John can cut loose during a club gig or a lively party using high quality drum and bass tracks to fill a dance floor and create a full live band sound. John was lead singer in various bands in the 80s’ such as Axe, Harlequin and with Hidden Extras, the opening band for the likes of Cold Chisel, Dragon and The Models.  Playing rhythm guitar and singing has helped soothe his soul and express human emotion, writing his own original songs since 16 years of age.
